Ski Butternut Resort in Massachusetts

Ski Butternut is an exciting Great Barrington, Massachusetts ski resort that offers thrilling downhill skiing and snowboarding. In addition, there's an awesome ski school that's perfect for the first-time skier or beginner as well as two terrain parks for those who like to test their limits. If you prefer something more mellow, try the tubing runs, which bring out the little kid in even the most grown-up adult.

During the season from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Prices -

Lift tickets range from $25 for students on weekdays to $60 for adults during the holidays. An adult season pass bought before November 30 is $275.

Tubing is fun for all ages, and Ski Butternut is home to 8 lanes of tubing. The hand-lift makes getting back to the top of the slide park fun and easy. Tubing is $18 for 2 hours or try a Season Pass for $99.

Are there ski and snowboard rentals on the mountain?


There are several low-priced ski and snowboard rental packages for skiers of all ages and sizes. Equipment rental for adult skiers, 14 years and up cost $35. Junior skiers, ages 7 to 13 pay $30. Child skier - 6 and younger - equipment is $20. Helmets are $12.

Is this mountain good for beginners?


Ski Butternut Ski School offers classes to beginners and first-time skiers. An excellent way to get acquainted with the sport of skiing is with the $75 Package, which includes lift ticket, lesson, and ski or snowboard rental. Student must be at least 7 years old.
