Historic Hancock Shaker Village

Although the Shakers left this Massachusetts community in 1959, Hancock Shaker Village preserves their culture. The main season begins in April and continues through October for visitors, who are welcome to walk the grounds on self-guided tours. The campus consists of 20 beautifully preserved historic buildings, hiking trails, the farm, and the gardens, which illustrate the Shaker belief in sustainability. There's also the Museum, gift shop, and Village Harvest Café, which serves Shaker-inspired lunches and snacks.
