Tanglewood & the Tanglewood Music Festival. Created in1934, the Tanglewood Music Festival was originally intended as a one-time series of outdoor summer concerts, but the event was so successful that it became an annual summer event. Today, Tanglewood draws over 350,000 annual visitors for the Tanglewood Music Festival and a variety of other live concerts and events; like concerts from the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops Orchestra, weekly chamber music concerts, open rehearsals, the annual Festival of Contemporary Music, and recitals from young musicians. The three-day-long Tanglewood Music Festival and other events are held on Tanglewood’s stunning grounds, with views of rolling green hills and a vast lawn, a wide range of visitor facilities and activities, exhibits, and cafés, all offering a unique outdoor venue for visitors. www.tanglewood.org.

Shakespeare & Company. Founded in 1978, this theatre group performs Shakespeare’s classics at the Founders’ Theatre and Rose Footprint Theatre, and provides classical performance training through education programs designed to inspire a new generation of students. Shakespeare & Company Summer Evening Gala. Join the Shakespeare & Co cast for a special sunset gala, featuring a French dinner, cocktails, dancing under the stars, and live performances from the company’s professional cast and youth performers. www.shakespeare.org.

Lime Rock Park. This classic 1.53-mile, 7-turn racecourse is nestled in the stunning Berkshire Mountains and hosts a wide range of racing events throughout the year, from SCCA Regional to midgets, Trans-Am and Can-Am to NASCAR stock cars. Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center. This restored historic theater and arts center offers a full program of classic films, live music, theater, dance, and other family friendly programming throughout the year. Norman Rockwell Museum. Located in Stockbridge, the Norman Rockwell Museum houses the world's largest and most significant collection of original Rockwell art, and is dedicated to the work of one of America's most beloved artists. Hancock Shaker Village. Hancock Shaker Village offers a variety of programs, tours, exhibitions, and hands-on activities at a beautifully and authentically restored Shaker village, set on 1,200 acres of farm, woodland and pasture, with 20 historic buildings, including a Round Stone Barn.
